The New BERG SC7 Controller

We are pleased to present our latest generation of microprocessor controllers - The SC7, a new controller that provides standard features that were only available as options on our earlier controllers.

Highlights:

The SC7 comes loaded with prewritten programs for all your chiller applications, and includes enough flexibility to add additional features for very specialized applications.

The SC7 provides complete monitoring of your chiller’s performance and operation. It monitors the process water temperature, and controls the set point temperature by lead/lagging (staging) and loading and unloading the compressors. The SC7 controls and unloads the compressor operation efficiently in proportion to changes in cooling load, and your typical temperature accuracy can be maintained at +/-1°F.

To ensure optimal efficiency and help Maintenance Technicians service the chiller, the Berg SC7 monitors and displays refrigerant discharge and suction pressure for each compressor as well as evaporator inlet and outlet temperatures. In addition, here is a partial list of the many features of the Berg SC7:

 

Standard Control Features:
  • Refrigerant Discharge and Suction pressure display for each compressor
  • Temp in /out of evaporator(s) and temperature to process C/F display
  • Crankcase heater operation monitoring to protect the compressor
  • Compressor run time display Maintenance alarms for run time and evaporator performance

  • Alarm events are shown in text display Audible and visual alarm on controller display with silence

  • Temperature and Pressure on screen calibration (Password protected)
  • Field adjustable operating parameters (Password protected)
  • Auto compressor unloading for high Discharge pressure during pull down to avoid compressor overloading
  • Unloaded compressor starting
  • Automatic lead/lag compressor change and compressor
  • Anti cycle System alarm help pages Single switch on off operation for easy day to day operation
  • Five hour power up delay after a power failure to protect the compressor
