Sturdy, Dependable Construction

    High quality, standard components provide years of trouble-free operation. The cabinet, constructed of heavy gauge metal, provides maximum ventilation to keep the internal operating environment cool. Portability is standard; each unit has two rigid and two swivel casters to provide mobility throughout your plant.

Maintenance Friendly

    Maintenance Friendly Hinged access panels provide quick and easy access to the interior and electrical panel. Quarter turn screws provide easy release of the panels. The electrical panel is neat, organized, and wires are labelled for ease in troubleshooting. For ease in change-out and service, the controller can be unplugged without removing any wires. Each unit has dual pressure gauges and an oil level sight gauge to facilitate operation and maintenance.

Simple Controls

     Berg’s controls provide an intuitive interface. The control panel has indicator lights to display the status of the equipment. The microprocessor controller has a large, 1/8 DIN, highly visible display of Set Point and Delivery temperature, and can be configured to meet your operating needs. The configuration is stored in non-volatile memory.


Vertically Mounted Stainless Steel Heater

 

    The stainless steel heater is vertically mounted to provide efficient heating and ease of maintenance while minimizing the potential for high temperate damage. An insulated heater tank results in less radiant heat being released into the inside of the unit. The HT Series has a standard 9kW heating element, but can accept up to a 48kW element. To meet your heat transfer applications, the HT Series is available in three temperature levels, 400°F, 450°F, and 550°F. The compact HU Series has a standard 6kW heating element and provides an operating oil temperature up to 400°F.

High Efficiency Pump

     A centrifugal pump mounted horizontally minimizes fluid cavitation and provides maximum flow under the wide variations of pressure generated with multiple tool designs. The compact HU Series has a standard range of pumps from ½ to 1 HP. The upright HT pumps range from ½ to 3 HP. Larger pump sizes are available on the HTC Series to meet your higher capacity applications.

Seal Cooling System

     The Water Jacketed Seal Cooling System extends the life of the seals by continually providing cool water to the seal area, thus reducing the need for maintenance. It is standard on all pumps except for models with a temperature rating of 550°F, which use an Air-Cooling System.


Built-In Safety Features

     Standard safety features protect your investment. An independent sensor is mounted near the heater element and will alert the controller to shut down the heater in the event of an over temperature condition. An internal bypass protects your heating element when process flow is accidentally shut-off. An overload feature on the motor contactor protects the motor.


Cooling Method

     HT and HU Series units utilize ambient air to gradually cool the process oil. This is a very economical solution. To achieve a quicker and more controlled cooling method, the HTC and HUC Series utilizing a heat exchanger would be your choice.

     A high quality industrial finish keeps the unit looking new even in the roughest plant environments. Custom paint colors are available upon request.
